Patrícia Reis Lourenço

With 20 years of experience, Patrícia is the coordinating partner in the Labour, Restructuring & Insolvency and Corporate & Business areas.

It focuses its activity on labour and social security law, namely hiring of workers, restructuring, labour audits, remuneration and benefits, dismissal procedures, individual and collective labour negotiations, and labour disciplinary processes.

She has also worked actively in representing our clients in numerous legal proceedings, ensuring the representation of companies not only in the various areas of labour law, but also with extensive experience in civil litigation.

Throughout her career she has worked in various sectors of activity, with particular emphasis on the industry, transport, health and pharmaceutical sectors, representing some of the leading national and foreign companies in Portugal.

Patricia has participated in several corporate restructuring processes, representing national and international clients, providing advice on the transfer, acquisition and sale of companies or business areas and conducting procedures for the termination of employment contracts.

She also regularly works on a range of employment litigation cases. In addition to her experience in complex litigation, most of which is multidisciplinary in nature, Patrícia also has experience in advising clients in pre-litigation situations and regularly assists the HR departments of the firm's clients, particularly with regard to the organisation and restructuring of their workforces.

She has also been involved in several highly complex legal and economic processes in commercial and financial matters and has extensive experience in the areas of responsibility of the heads of management bodies.

Patrícia has a degree from the Faculty of Law of the Autonomous University of Lisbon and a postgraduate degree in Labour Law from the Catholic University of Portugal, and in Property Criminal Law from the University of Lisbon.

Vera Elisa Lopes

Vera is the coordinating partner in the areas of Public Law & Licensing, Real Estate & Construction, and Contracts.

She began her professional career in 2006, advising individuals and economic groups, representing them before the Portuguese Public Administration. She also represents individual and corporate clients before the Portuguese Courts.

Having served in two Portuguese governments, she served in the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and, later, in the Assembly of the Republic, as Deputy Minister of Parliamentary Affairs of the XVIII Constitutional Government, coordinating the Government's legislative process.

Throughout her career, Vera has worked in the areas of Public Law, Environment and Land Use Planning, having represented clients before the Public Administration regarding various types of land use plans, and also regarding industrial and urban licensing. She has worked in the construction, industry, waste, health and agriculture sectors.

In recent years, she has focused her activity on real estate and civil construction, both in the purchase/sale of properties and, subsequently, in licensing, and building agreements, and also in the defence in administrative offense proceedings. Vera drafts, negotiates and monitors the execution of construction contracts and services related to the construction in the best interests of clients, representing both contractors and the end client, and also monitors legal proceedings throughout the country.

Furthermore, she is regularly requested to provide training in Legistics and Drafting of Normative Acts.

She holds a degree in Law from NOVA School of Law, with postgraduate degrees in European Studies from the Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão (ISEG – Institute of Economics and Management), where she received the Best Student Award, and also in Sports Law from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Lisbon.
